Sophrology workshops resume!

Published on

It's back to school at Sciences Po Aix, and to help you start this year more serenely, the sophrology sessions offered by the Health Pole resume! Based on breathing and visualization techniques, sophrology is a body's method of dynamic relaxation. It helps manage stress and anxiety, prepare positively for exams and interviews, build self-confidence, and improve concentration and sleep.

In order to give you a taste of what sophrology could bring you, we invited ourselves to the initiation session held Tuesday, September 6 in Saporta. In front of the nine students present, sophrologist Dorothée Desplats Pinoncely recalls that this practice allows us to be “attentive to bodily sensations”, and that it is a “work on self-awareness, our environment and our place among others”.

Each session begins and ends with a time of voluntary sharing on what we can expect from this moment and how we feel afterwards. The workshops are done with your eyes closed or half-closed, but be careful not to fall asleep! Do not hesitate to move, there are also sessions that include exercises in motion.

Discover the testimonials of participants in the discovery workshop held in Saporta on Tuesday, September 6:

Anna, new 2A: “I suspected that we were going to work on our breathing. I liked breathing like that and I got used to it, but there were plenty of parasitic thoughts that disturbed my breathing. »

Louise, new 2A: “I’m thinking of coming back, it forces you in the week to have a moment where you calm down a little, you decompress, even if it’s the time of a one-hour session. »

There are indeed days when we are more concerned than others, which is why the practice of sophrology over time can be a solution to learn to manage this stress, but also to listen to your body.

Did these testimonials motivate you to participate in the next session? Discover below the modalities of participation!
