Eligibility requirements

Exchange students

• Obtained a diploma that is accepted as equivalent to the French Baccalauréat
• Have successfully completed two years of higher education in a foreign university
• Be registered in a foreign partner university

Exchange students are exempted from paying tuition fees at Sciences Po Aix.

Independent students / Free movers

• Obtained a diploma accepted as equivalent to the French Baccalauréat
• Have successfully completed two years of higher education in a foreign university

Students who are not on an exchange programme must pay the registration fees at Sciences Po Aix. For more information, contact: incoming@sciencespo-aix.fr.

Language requirements

Applicants must demonstrate a satisfactory level of language skills depending on the programme chosen:

• CEP: Applicants for the degree programme must demonstrate a B2 level in French :
  • Diploma or certificate issued by an Alliance Française, Institut Français, or other authorised body
  • Certificate or evaluation provided by a French teacher from the home university

• PEPA / PEPS: Attach a certificate of language level from a language teacher at the home university, Alliance Française, Institut Français, or other approved organisation. Depending on the student’s level, some courses will not be accessible.   A B1 level is required for courses specifically for international students.  For other lecture courses (lower and upper division) taught in French, a B2 level is required.  Students who will be taking only courses in English still need to provide a language certificate in French for placement in the orientation seminar.  If the student is unable to provide a certificate, he or she will take a placement test on the first day of orientation.
  
• English language courses (for non-English speaking students): attach a language level certificate or English test certificate (TOEFL, IELTS) An overall score equivalent to a B2 is required

Application information

Exchange students

Students applying for one of our programmes must be nominated by their university via the following email address: incoming@sciencespo-aix.fr.

• At the latest by 1 May for a first semester or a full year mobility
• At the latest on 1October for the second semester

Once nominated by his/her university, the applicant will receive a file that he/she will have to fill in and complete with the requested supporting documents.

The student applicant’s file must be submitted:

• By 15 May at the latest for the first semester or full year
• By 15 October at the latest for the second semester

Once the application has been received by Sciences Po Aix (complete and validated), the student will receive a letter of acceptance.

Independent students/ Free movers

Students applying for one of our programmes must contact the following e-mail address incoming@sciencespo-aix.fr:

• At the latest on 1 May for the first semester or year
• At the latest by 1October  for the second semester

The applicant will receive a file that he/she will have to fill in and complete with the requested supporting documents.

The student applicant’s file must be submitted :

Once the application has been received by Sciences Po Aix (complete and validated), the student will receive a letter of acceptance.

The independent student must pay the tuition fees for the chosen programme:

• PEPS : €1070
• PEPA : €1870
• CEP : € 2320

Independent students pay the tuition fees after their arrival at Sciences Po Aix. They must also pay the CVEC (about 100 euros per semester): cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr and send proof of payment to: incoming@sciencespo-aix.fr.
