Claire Miot

Claire Miot is a former student of theÉcole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and a lecturer in contemporary history at Sciences Po Aix. She is the author of The First French Army, from Provence to Germany (1944-1945)published by Perrin in 2021. She co-edited, with Guillaume Piketty and Thomas Vaisset, Militaires en résistances en France et en Europe published by Presses du Septentrion in 2020, as well as, with Thomas Vaisset and Paul Vo-Ha, Cessation of fire, cessation of fighting? De l’époque moderne à nos jourspublished by Presses du Septentrion in 2022. Her work focuses on thehistory of conflicts in the 20th century, and more particularly on the movement of soldiers from colonial and imperial armies. She is also interested in thehistory of Western military institutions in the 20th century and in particular in the question of their feminisation.
