Tomorrow, Sciences Po Aix

Tomorrow, Sciences Po Aix is a bold transformation and restructuring programme, launched by Sciences Po Aix in 2016 at its three sites.

Creating synergy between the different sites

The restructuring of the facilities aims to give a strong identity to each of the three sites, while creating a real harmony between them: reenchanting the historic Saporta site, supporting students through the renovation of the Espace Marceau Long, enhancing research and revitalising community life at the Espace Philippe Séguin.

Enhancing the architectural heritage

With its listed façade, the building on rue Gaston de Saporta, the birthplace of the University of Aix-en-Provence, is part of the city’s architectural heritage.
Restoration of the original ceiling, central chandelier lighting and restoration of the old floors have enabled the entrance hall, which welcomes users every day, to be refurbished.

Improving working and living conditions for users

For students, staff, lecturers and visitors, the work undertaken aims to adapt the spaces to the needs of users, by promoting ergonomics, accessibility and user-friendliness.

2023 projects

The Workcafé

The new Workcafé, a modular space of over 420 m2 overlooking a sunny patio, welcomes students and staff to share ideas and work collaboratively, have lunch at the bar or in the café lounge, take part in artistic and cultural performances, and even recharge their batteries in the relaxation room.

Collaborative workspaces

7 collaborative workspaces in the Saporta building are available on reservation. Display screens, writable walls… students will find all the equipment they need for group work, ideation workshops and meetings.
