The course

Thanks to the teaching modules led by professional speakers, the many workshops, meetings and events organized throughout the year, each student will be able to benefit from tailor-made support.  

Getting to know yourself better in the first year, questioning your professional project in the second year, succeeding in your mobility in the third year, and preparing for recruitment in the fourth year, such is the challenge of the Itineraries system that combines seminars, theoretical contributions and events related to the professionalization of students.

The challenge is major: to support students in the construction of a solid professional project, which meets their deepest expectations, and contributes, throughout their career, to their personal development.

In 1st^{year –} Itineraries 1 – Develop your professional skills

Objectives

• Know your natural style of behavior
• Identify the profile of the other to “speak his language”
• Develop agility to adapt to the situation, interlocutors and challenges

Skills

• Identify your comfort zones, areas of effort and skills that are difficult to mobilize
• Know your personal motivation system
• Exploit your relational potential (communication, management, sales…)
• Develop relational strategies based on the profile of the other

In^2nd year – Itineraries 2 – Developing employability tools

Objectives

• Reflect on your professional project
• Acquire the tools to facilitate professional integration

Skills

• Create a suitable CV
• Know how to write a relevant cover letter or email
• Optimize your presence on social networks: create, develop and maintain a physical network
• Learn how to present yourself and convince in a recruitment interview

In 3rd^{year –} Itineraries 3 – Successful mobility and professional immersion

Objectives

• Learn how to consolidate internship search tools and digital skills in an international dimension

Skills

• Highlight your skills (hard skills, soft skills) useful for recruitment interviews and professional integration
• Promote your assets and your professional project through “pitches” filmed in French and English
• Create and improve your LinkedIn profile
• Prepare for the specificities of applications in Anglo-Saxon countries (CV, interviews, LinkedIn)

In 4th^{year –} Itineraries 4 – Draw your professional orientation and prepare for recruitment

Objectives

• Deepen and concretize your professional project before entering M2
• Questioning your internship/job search process

Skills

• Refine your priorities for the Master 2 in terms of knowledge acquisition and professional work
• Have methodological tracks to clarify and initiate the implementation of your medium-term professional project

Events

The Forum From amphitheatre to active life and the Forum des Concours

Bringing together more than 45 partners on one day each year, the Forum From the Amphitheater to Active Life and the Forum des Concours, organized simultaneously, allow students to meet the major economic actors of the territory and to exchange with recruiters on their future project.

Meeting space with professionals, thematic conferences, exchanges with Alumni but also training for job interviews, CV competitions, Pro Photo Studio… This day is a window on active life. Not to be missed under any circumstances!

Thursdays of Success

Careers in journalism, health, culture, justice, sport, tech, diplomacy… each month, Thursdays of Success bring together students and graduates, most often around a professional field.

Academic background, internships, experiences, daily missions but also projects and career prospects, Alumni retrace their trajectories. These friendly exchange times invite students to build or refine their project, but also to expand their network and become aware of the many possible opportunities, at the end of their training.

Professionalization workshops with APEC

Optional professionalization workshops are offered to 4th and 5th year students by the Association Pour l’Emploi des Cadres. This system is intended to connect students with market and employment experts. On the program: advice on writing your CV and cover letter and setting up scenarios for successful interviews.

The Entrepreneurship Roadshow

The entrepreneurial adventure is today a way of choice to flourish both personally and professionally. Every year, Sciences Po Aix students benefit from many entrepreneurial opportunities, thanks in particular to our partner Pépite Provence.

The Roadshow organized every year in September invites students to discover all the devices to try the entrepreneurial adventure!

VIE – VIA meetings

Sciences Po Aix is organising a meeting at the start of the academic year to talk to students about the VIE-VIA programme. International Volunteering, in Business and Administration, represents a real opportunity for young French people and nationals of a country of the European Economic Area, aged 18 to 28, to start a paid career abroad. Being an International Volunteer means having access to exciting missions over a period of 6 to 24 months.
Added value on a CV, the VIE-VIA allows 92% of volunteers to be recruited at the end of the mission.
