The equality mission

The Equality mission of Sciences Po Aix is aimed at all students and teaching and administrative staff. Raising awareness, prevention but also collecting and processing reports… the mission acts against the different forms of discrimination within the School.

The mission’s commitments

Informing and raising awareness

Since 2016, Sciences Po Aix has been implementing an equality and anti-discrimination policy, which has taken the form of events and conferences and the dissemination of information to all users of the institution.

The equality mission is also responsible for carrying out awareness-raising activities for public servants on professional equality, deconstructing gender stereotypes, preventing discrimination, particularly gender-based discrimination, and combating sexist and sexual violence.

Advising, guiding and preventing

Text block: The Equality Officer is the main contact for the entire community on equality issues. She has an advisory role for which users of the institution can contact her. In the event of complaints relating to potential acts of sexual violence, harassment of any kind, sexist behaviour or discrimination, she directs the victims to the reporting system set up by l’Écolet.

Composition and role of the system

Sciences Po Aix has set up a system enabling the entire school community (students, teaching and administrative staff) to report any act of harassment or violence. It is composed of an in-house crisis unit and an external crisis unit, which advises and directs victims to the appropriate services.

The internal listening unit is composed as follows

– the Equality Referent

– A teacher

– A teacher

These staff members are regularly trained in order to be able to listen to victims or witnesses in the best conditions.

Organisation and functioning

The school’s counselling unit can be contacted by e-mail at the following address: dee@sciencespo-aix.fr

Beforehand, we advise you to fill in the report form.

The person making the report will be offered, within a week, an appointment with two members of the listening unit. The interview will be confidential and friendly, and the members of the unit will write a report. All the data collected is in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The internal listening unit refers people to the outsourced unit if necessary. Since the beginning of the academic year 2022, the Sciences Po Aix listening system has been strengthened by acquiring a partner association competent to handle reports. APERS, an association specialised in supporting victims of criminal offences, offers psychological support to any student or staff member who has been the victim of an offence, misdemeanour or crime, and assists them in filing a complaint if they so wish. The first interview is carried out by a social worker and the treatment is free of charge.
