Céline Gimet

Professeur des Universités

Céline Gimet is Professor of Economics and International Finance at Sciences Po Aix. She is a research fellow at the AMSE (Aix-Marseille School of Economics). She was an assistant professor at the University of Lyon and at Sciences Po Aix, then a full professor at the University of Franche-Comté before joining Sciences Po Aix.

Her academic research focuses mainly on macroeconomics and international finance, through the study of monetary union projects in the light of recent crises. She has also worked on development economics and the economics of climate change.

Her studies have been published in international peer-reviewed journals referenced by the CNRS and AERES, as well as in papers presented at international conferences and in reports for international institutions. She is the coordinator of the ANR project Financial fragmentation and inequalities in the Eurozone – FFIE (2022- 2027) – Financial fragmentation and inequalities in the Eurozone | ANR.

Céline Gimet has also worked as a consultant for Plan Bleu-PAM-PNUE and FEMISE. She is an associate editor of Research in International Business and Finance and International Review of Financial Analysis and a member of the editorial board of International Economics.

At Sciences Po Aix, she is the head of the Economics and Management Department and the head of the Master International Expertise, which is divided into 4 options:

  • Expertise in International Relations,
  • Expertise in International Affairs,
  • Expertise in International Affairs (M2 – work-linked)
  • International Diplomacy Economics Analytics and Law (M2 IDEAL, Sciences Po Aix – AMSE)

She has been an elected member of the Board of Directors since 2020.

She was a member of the Management Committee and responsible for external relations and student life between 2015 and 2020.
